Sunday morning I woke up to Cooper making some noise in his bedroom. So I got up to see what the commotion was all about, and he walks out of his room and says "Mommy -- I have a mother's day present for you, but I don't have anything for Daddy and I don't want him to feel left out". That statement alone made my day. How sweet and considerate is my beautiful boy?
The Lord has blessed me beyond measure. I have the two most precious, beautiful, intelligent, and kind children. It amazes me to this day that I was chosen to be their mother. For all of you adoptive moms - you know exactly what I mean. Cooper and Isabelle are a PERFECT match for our family, I can't imagine life without them.
Cooper made a book in school for me titled "My Mom and Me" written and illustrated by Cooper Rhys Start. He is bound to be an author (when he isn't playing 3rd base for the Tigers!!). One of the pages reads "My mom is the best at.....and he put "making breakfast". Between my sobbing like a baby I had to laugh. 4 days out of the week we have cereal - all I do is pour it into the bowl and splash on a little milk......maybe it's because I let him get all those cereals that maybe not the best start to his morning (ie....capt. crunch, those little cookie looking ones, the list goes on!!) Maybe it's because I let the cat jump up on the table and let him watch Cooper eat. Who knows, I just thought that was the cutest thing.
Anyway, Happy Mother's Day to all you moms. I pray you are as blessed as I am!!

How sweet is Cooper?!?!!! That is SUCH a precious story.
That is too funny! I make breakfast that way, too--either that or pop a bagel in the toaster. :-)
