Turtle Bite
Since we were so late getting home Saturday night, I let the kids sleep in on Sunday morning - so we did not go to church. Every Sunday after church we go to my grandparents house for coffee - it's very rare that we don't go, and it throws the kids whole Sunday routine off! Anyway, we were invited over later that evening. Before we left, the kids were playing on the playset in the backyard and Isabelle got a cut on one of her fingers......she's really into her "ouwies", and band aids are a must (a side note : when we go to the grocery store and she's not being too cooperative, I go to the band aid aisle, and grab her a cheap box......keeps her quiet for a loooooong time. We get funny looks, because she has band aids all over her - but hey, she's having fun - and I can actually concentrate on shopping!! Buying an empty box of band aids is better than candy - I think!!). When we get to Opa and Oma's house, Isabelle went to sit on Opa's lap and they talk about our trip (well - he does most of the talking), and finally she shows him her finger. He asks her what happened, she tells him "Turtle bite Opa, hurts, band aid please". Apparently, the turtles we saw on vacation were a big hit - and of course where there is an "ouwie" there must be a band aid!!
