Ryan is in Chicago for a week, taking a class and the princess misses her Daddy. Not that Cooper and I don't miss him (because we do - a lot), but not having Daddy home upsets miss Isabelle's whole routine - especially at night. Ryan puts Isabelle to bed every night - she prefers it that way, and who am I to argue!! Ryan left on Sunday and Sunday evening was TERRIBLE. I finally gave in and let her sleep in our bed (11pm) and she tossed and turned all night (so did I) and woke up every hour on the hour whimpering, and at one point asked for Daddy. Monday night was better.........only got out of bed 3 times, and never cried in the night (she ended up sleeping on the floor in Cooper's room). Last night, well....we were back to terrible. She started out on the floor in Cooper's room, then to her bed, then back to the floor, then to Cooper's bed (he was on the floor to begin with, and he was sleeping by the time his head hit the pillow), back to her bed - when I finally had enough and laid down the law. Or so I thought!! About 20 minutes later I hear her get up and she comes into our bedroom and tells me, very proudly "mommy, Izzy is all done sleeping - need Daddy". Oh my....how can you be angry at that. I finally talked her into sleeping on Cooper's floor and finally she was asleep. At this point it was about 12:30am and I'm exhausted.
When I got up this morning I went in to look at the kids, and I see Isabelle's shoulders just above the covers and think.....Huh - I see bear skin, she had P.J.'s on when she went to bed. After checking I discovered she at some point took off her P.J.'s and diaper and slept naked. Not daring to leave her that way (for obvious reasons!!) I woke her up to get dressed. When I asked her what she was thinking she said "Hot mommy. I was hot"!! Then to top it all off, we had an argument (yes, I argued with a 2 year old....what can I say - I'm tired!!) about flip-flops. She wanted to wear them, I told her it's cold outside and she has to wear shoes and socks......she again tells me "No mommy no, I'm hot, feet hot". Oh - you just have to laugh!!!
All the while Cooper is eating his breakfast, not saying a word, and is probably thinking to himself - the bus can't get here fast enough!!
Otherwise, all in all, it's going good without Daddy home - but I am very grateful that he doesn't have a job that requires him to do a lot of traveling..........I like to sleep!!

Oh, boy! Sleep has been at a premium around here lately, too, but not anything like what you are dealing with. Hope she sleeps better tonight!
You poor Dear! I hope you get caught up on your sleep soon. I know I am a bear when I get woke at night, sounds like you have a lot more patience than I.
Jared likes to sleep on the sofa upstairs...he says his room is too dark. We haven't had any issues with Jaiden wanting to sleep with us THANK GOD she is a tosser and it would be impossible to sleep with her in the same bed(we've tried) Thats too funny that our girls are both going through flip flop traumas...why does summer have to end so soon...
Have a great week!
i can just picture poor cooper sitting at breakfast, eating at cereal and trying to tune out you lunatics.
its hard on A when daddy leaves, too...
