My sister's family

My sister brought our nephew Ely (who is one month old....photo from a few posts ago), to the pediatrician this past thursday, because his color is still off (his bili ruben was over 18 at one time..normal is 8 or 9) and she thought he had a little acid reflux because he is having a hard time keeping anything down. Well the Dr. sent them to have an MRI and it came back showing that he has an enlarged liver and spleen as well as he is missing a bile duct. The dr. said it's either surgery to replace the bile duct.....or if the liver is too damaged Ely will need a liver transplant. They see a specialist tomorrow - answers cannot come fast enough.

Please pray for them. Needless to say my sister is a complete wreck, and the unknown is of course so very scary. Also, if anyone knows of anyone that has had a child go thru this I would love to email them. The dr. mentioned it being called Biliary Atresia.
