A couple of weeks ago Ryan's sister (my sister-in-law, however I HATE the in-law part, she's more of a REAL sister to me!!), and our nephew Alexander were home from Texas. They wanted to see the horses, so over to my parents house we went. My parents have a horse ranch, they show horses as well as breed, and have too many horses to count. Anyway, we had a ton of fun. The kids not only got to pet the horses, they made dirt pies, dirt angels, and played in the water trough.
Please visit www.rmsphotography.net/blog to see photos of the fun!!
(Contrary to what Ryan says - Coops knows all the horses by name, and some LOVE to follow him around like big puppies.)

oh my goodness the photos of the dirt smeared faces are just priceless! Now thats the kind of photos I like to see :) I am not one for "posed" pics - I love Ryan's work and the blog! Everyone looks natural and comfortable...I can remember our last family portrait so vividly (but not so fondly, guess that is why it has been so long since we have had one)we were all crabby, itchy and uncomfortable - couldn't wait for that 5 minute session to end and get home into comfie clothes again. My favorite family photo was taken in San Antonio in a garden...we were all very relaxed and natural...I remember that day fondly
You should share more of the farm :) I love to see the horses too! I think we should come visit you guys - the new Nickelodean stuff at the mall - not that great - I liked the way it was last fall when it was without sponsor...alot more natural...I guess I am all about being natural huh? LOL
Hope you guys have a great weekend! PS tell Ryan that I am still laughing over the "tons of horses" comment
Wow! I've got to check Ryan's blog more often. I'm with Kim--love his work! The pictures of Isabelle with the dirt on her face are just adorable. I also enjoyed the pictures of Violet. I sent my sister (who has a greyhound, too) a link to the dog pics. :-)
Hey! No wonder I like you... the Husband is a horse person as well. He grew up on a farm, and lived on a horse farm when I first met him.
The photographs are stunning. And so are the children. And I'm sure you hear both of those comments quite often.
aw :) you're a sister to me, too. we had a fabulous time and miss you a bunch.
